The first World Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (SHCONF) occurred in Barcelona Spain, 12-14 December, 2019 and included scholars who travelled to Spain from around the world.
Countries represented at the conference included, but were not limited to, Mexico, Poland, Turkey, Albania, Romania, Taiwan, Bulgaria and Sri Lanka.
The first edition helped to establish the conference’s interdisciplinary nature, bringing together researchers in literature, education, digital society, economics, urban studies, as well as, justice policy.
The conference served as an opportunity for cross-national exchange as well as a starting point for next SHCONF editions.
